Privacy and cookie policy
This policy explains what data PDF Ligero handles when you use pdf-ligero.nodeluck.app. In short: your PDFs are processed in your browser and we never receive them.
Summary
- The files you open or convert are not uploaded to or stored on any server.
- There are no accounts, sign-up forms, or analytics and tracking tools.
- Your browser stores a few preferences, such as the visual theme.
Who is responsible
The operator of pdf-ligero.nodeluck.app is responsible for the site.
Your documents
Reading, searching and converting PDFs happen on your device, with code that runs in your browser. The contents of your documents are not sent to our servers or to third parties, and they disappear from memory when you close or reload the page. If you save the result, the .md file is downloaded to your computer.
Local storage and cookies
PDF Ligero stores a single cookie of its own in your browser, which remembers the visual style of the page, and uses local storage for the rest. Everything below is considered necessary for the site to work the way you asked, so none of it requires your consent:
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
pdfligero.skin (cookie) | Remember the visual style of the page. One is picked at random the first time, and you can change it with the "Change style" button. It does not identify anyone and is not sent to third parties. | 30 days |
pdfligero.theme | Remember whether you chose the light or the dark theme. | Until you clear it |
pdfligero.search | Remember your search options (match case, whole word, highlight all, ignore accents). It never stores what you search for or the contents of your documents. | Until you clear it |
pdfligero.mdoptions | Remember the Markdown conversion options you switched on or off (headings, lists, tables, code, links and similar). It stores only those switches, never the converted text. | Until you clear it |
| Site cache | Keep a copy of the site's files, not of your documents, so it loads faster and can open offline. | Until the next site update |
Server logs
The hosting service that delivers the pages may record technical data about each visit, such as the IP address, the date, the requested page and browser characteristics, for security and operation. We do not use those logs to identify you or to build profiles.
Your rights
Because we do not process data that identifies you, we usually hold no information about you to look up or delete. Even so, you can ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of any personal data we have, object to its processing or withdraw your consent at any time. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date. If the change affects advertising, we will ask for your choice again.
